N RAMANUJA

Chairman of Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra and Karnataka Chapter, Sri Ramanuja was Chairman and Managing Director of HMT. Founder Chairman of M.P. Birla Institute of Management, a Bhavan’s associate, he is serving on managing councils of several educational institutions like National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, Vidya Vardhak Engineering College, Mysore JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore, JSS Spiritual Centre, USA. He is Chairman, Governing Council of the Bhavan’s Institutes of Management Studies in Karnataka.

An engineer, Sri Ramanuja is decorated with the HONOUR OF ‘OFFICIER DE L’ORDRE NATIONAL DU LION’, highest civilian honour of Senegal awarded to foreigners besides the Karnataka Rajyotsava award (2010), apart from the Best Engineers’ Award from the Institution of Engineers, Andhrapradesh & Mysore, Rajiv Gandhi Green Land award as Best Manager.
 
 
Dr. H K KEJRIWAL

Vice Chairman of Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra, Harkishore Kejriwal is a multi-dimensional personality, his vista ranging from philanthropy, fine arts, education and industrial enterprise. While leading art and cultural institutions like Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra and Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat have been the major beneficiaries of his generosity. His collection of works of arts and crafts including Chinese ceramics and masterpieces of painting is a huge museum by itself. His love for learning is manifest in the educational institutions run by his foundation.
 
 
H R ANANTH

Chairman and Managing Director of the Bangalore Press, reputed for its calendars and diaries, Ananth (born 1959) is an Engineering graduate. He was a visiting faculty of BMS College of Engineering Bangalore. A leading Rotarian, he was President Rotary Bangalore West and served the Rotary District which administers about 80 clubs. Currently one of the Vice Chairman of Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra. Keenly interested in music, he plays the Veena. He has toured Canada-USA as leader of a Youth Rotary Cultural team.
 
 
Dr. V PARAMESHVARA

Well- known in the medical fraternity at the national and international levels, Dr. V Parameshvara is inarguably one of the most celebrated physicians of Bangalore. What is unique about this rare cardiac specialist is that his services as a medical practitioner is as prodigious as his commitment to discharging social obligations is worthy of emulation. A mélange of medical degrees, awards and medallions herald these series. There are hardly any professional journals which have not carried his scientific papers on subjects related to the profession which he has served as President of IMA and APA. Most importantly, Dr.Parameshvara has set up a free 150-bed hospital in his home town Sringeri and a free chemo-dialysis centre in Bangalore that amply testify to his generous disposition.
 
 
PEEYUSH JAIN

Hailing from Kota city of Rajasthan, Sri Peeyush (born 1966) belongs to a business family. After obtaining a degree in commerce, started his business by taking up BPO – for Accounting for Ultratech Cements. He soon discovered his inclination towards servicing activities involving accounting, logistic, warehousing services. Later his business was diversified to distribution of chemicals, now extended globally. His business under the names of Karneet Enterprises in India and Karneet Global DMCC in Dubai for reputed manufacturers at USA, Tunisia, Thailand & Malaysia. As a Rotarian he served as Treasurer, Secretary, Director for various club services and currently as Joint Secretary. Currently he is the Honorary Treasurer of Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra.
 
 
K G RAGHAVAN

A Senior Karnataka High Court advocate, Sri Raghavan practices in the areas of arbitration and commercial, corporate, civil and constitutional litigation. Having extensive experience in corporate regulatory issues, real estate and intellectual property laws, he has represented clients in arbitration proceedings and environmental litigations, litigations involving power projects, intellectual property matters and public interest litigations. His experience includes both original and appellate work appearing before the Supreme Court, various High Courts, as well as Tribunals and Company Law Boards. He is enrolled with the Karnataka State Bar Council and admitted to the Supreme Court Bar Association. Currently he is Hon. Secretary of the Kendra Committee as well as the Chairman of Bhavan’s BBMP Public School.
 
 
H N SURESH

His record of interests covers the entire range of public service. Even at a young age, he started the Youth Writers and Artists Guild (Estd. 1972) to explore the visual and performing arts in Bangalore, its notable achievement being the Every Friday Cultural Evening programme. While serving in a company manufacturing electrical appliances (NGEF), he explored his abilities in painting with considerable success. Later his series on the Astral World proved very popular. For a time, Suresh reviewed art and dance for a couple of newspapers. As a member of the State Sangeetha Nrutya Academy and Lalithkala Academy, he has written and edited a few publications. He is the recipient of the Academy’s Karnataka Kalashree Award and State Lalitkala Academy Award. He is currently the Director of Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra.
 
 
K JAIRAJ

A distinguished IAS Officer (1976 batch)with expertise in energy, finance, transport and urban development, Sri Jairaj has held a wide range of assignments in the Government of Karnataka, ending up in 2010 as Additional Chief Secretary. A double MPA – Master in Public Affairs from Woodrow Wilson School of Princeton University and Master in Public Administration from Kennedy School of Harvard University, Sri Jairaj has served in the World Bank and has to his credit a number of achievements, notable among them being CEO India’s first Private Sector Greenfield International Airport Project, Bangalore. His interests are equally varied, ranging from being Vice Chairman, Council of Power Utilities, New Delhi, and Chairman, Governing Council of Central Institute of Road Transport, Pune. He is also Chairman of Bangalore Gayana Samaja Trust. Currently he is serving in the Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra Committee as a member.
 
 
H PADAMCHAND KHINCHA

Partner in the family concern, Messrs H C Khincha & Co., Padamchand was a rank holder right through his academic career. He has vast teaching experience as a visiting faculty at IIM, ICAI and the Training Institute of the Income Tax Department. A regular columnist for a number of professional journals like the Tax Patrika and Tax Reporter, besides presenting papers at seminars related to Tax matters, has to his credit several books like ‘Capital Gains of Non-Residents’, ‘Tax Deduction at Source’. A keen sportsman too, deeply involved in cricket and athletics. He is currently on the board of Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra.
 
 
DR. SUDHA MURTY

Wife of the software genius and industrialist N.R. Narayana Murthy, Smt Sudha is best known for her social work. A computer scientist and engineer. Sudha was the first computer engineer employee of Tata Motors. She has introduced computer and library facilities in all State schools. Taught computer science and started writing fiction with her first book ‘Dollar Sose’. She Worked at TELCO as Development Engineer in Pune, Mumbai and Jamshedpur and later joined Walchand Group of Industries at Pune as Senior Systems Analyst. Later she got involved in the development of Infosys Technologies Ltd., in various capacities & worked as HoD for Computer Science in a reputed college of Bangalore University. In 1996, started Infosys Foundation & till date Trustee of Infosys Foundation and a Visiting Professor at the PG Center of a reputed college of Bangalore University. She has written and published 13 books. She is currently the member of Bhavan’s Bangalore Kendra Committee.
